Library Launch

We were thrilled to launch our fantastic new Lodge library with a visit from Pep the Poet! Pep held exciting poetry workshops with classes across school. The children were inspired by his creative word play and lively performances. After school, Pep kindly took the time to sign books for parents and pupils making the day extra special.

Mrs Khatun has also introduced the new library to each class with the help of our amazing pupil and staff librarians. Our youngest pupils in Reception and Nursery shared a story with Mrs Khatun. Children also found out about their Year group recommended reads and they all had an opportunity to explore the excellent range of books. The library has been a massive Lodge team effort and we are proud to have such a wonderful space and resource for our children. We hope to foster children's enthusiasm and love for reading. After the half term holidays, we aim to open the library after school so that parents and carers can enjoy reading and borrowing books with the children.
